While some professional speakers might be celebrities, athletes, or Facebook experts, Marc Gordon brings a set of qualifications that are not only invaluable but rare – experience. Twenty five years of hard core, head banging, gut busting business experience delivered the only way Marc knows how: with knowledge, honesty, and plenty of humour.
From starting his first business at the age of 12 as a way to escape bullying, having his own line of athletic wear, selling lingerie to hookers, all the way to a million dollar company started in the basement of his parents home, Marc has seen and done it all.
After ten years in the auto industry, Marc started Fourword Marketing in 2004 – a boutique agency aimed at serving the needs of small business and startups. From the beginning, his goal was to economically provide the kinds of marketing services to others that were financially out of reach for him.
Over the years, hundreds of business owners have experienced measured growth as a result of Marc’s skills. Some of his clients have called him the “millionaire maker”, others refer to him as their secret weapon. Marc is just happy when they pay their invoices on time. His client list has come to include General Motors, Johnson & Johnson, and TD Canada Trust.
Robert Tercek, head of digital media for the Oprah Winfrey Network, has called him a marketing superstar. Marc’s openness and desire to share ideas has made him a sought after speaker by franchises, associations, and business groups.
Through his speaking, Marc brings clarity and understanding to the many issues that organizations have to deal with. Whether it be using social media or creating a powerful brand identity, each presentation is designed to be educational and inspirational.
Marc’s syndicated article series, High 5 For Business, appears in over 200 trade and business magazines across North America. He is also a regular contributor to retailwire.com, businessknowhow.com, Costco Connection and Canadian Franchise Magazine. He has been interviewed as an industry expert by the Toronto Star, The Globe and Mail, and the National Post.
Marc’s online show, marctv, has become his outlet for “sharing and swearing”. In each episode, Marc shares his ideas and opinions in an effort to empower and educate business owners. With over 10,000 views per episode, marctv has become one of Canada’s the most popular business blogs.
